Mr. Seth Adjei Baah

The Chairman, Hon. Seth Adjei Baah a former Member of Parliament is an astute Entrepreneur and an International Business Executive with a wide range of corporate experience. He was formerly the President of the Ghana Chamber of Commerce & Industry as well as the PAN African Chambers of Commerce & Industry and represented these bodies in many International Business forums across the globe. Seth is a member of the Institute of Commercial Management (UK) and a fellow of the Institute of Professional Managers and Administration (UK).
Hon Baah has a BSc Degree in Administration and als o holds a Master’s degree from the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA). He is a skillful Strategic policy formulator and implementer and to his credit in this wise are the successes of Shaaba Group of Companies. His managerial achievements includes the transformation of the New Coco Beach Resort into an International three star Hotel. He is well connected as a former Member of Parliament and will bring this to impact on all Entities under his care as far as its local and internationalization extents are concerned.

Mr. Akwasi Agyeman

Mr. Akwasi Agyeman

Akwasi Agyeman is the CEO of Ghana Tourism Authority, the lead public service agency in charge of regulating tourism in Ghana through marketing and promotion, licensing and classification of tourism facilities and services, investments, research and development. He was previously a shareholding partner of Global Media Alliance, where he was in charge of one TV station and 4 radio stations. Until recently, he was the president of the Ghana Independent Broadcasters Association. Agyeman holds an MBA in Marketing and Information Systems from Tulane University in Louisiana (2003), USA. He also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences (1993) and a Master’s in Public Administration (MPA-1996) from the University of Ghana.

Agyeman has over 15 years’ experience in project management, crisis communications, PR and media relations, banking and relationship management. He has worked in senior level capacities with Ecobank, Merchant Bank, Stanbic Bank in South Africa.

Mr. John Yao Agbeko

Born on the on the 6th of August, 1963 in Accra John Yao Agbeko hails from Liati Wote a town in the Afadzato South District of the Volta Region. He had his basic education in Wote and Accra, he obtained his ‘O’ and ‘A’ Level Certificates in 1983 and 1985 from the E.P Secondary School and Bishop Herman College respectively.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Ghana Legon and Masters of Business Administration from the University Wuhan in China. He has undergone some functional training in Public Administration notably post graduate Certificate and Diploma in Public Administration. Management Analysts Training programme for the leadership of the Civil Service in GIMPA. The Corporate, Culture, Policy and Project Management at the Headquarters of Huawei Technologies Company Limited in Shenzhen, China. Public Financial Management, Planning and Control in RIPA International, London UK.

He was appointed as the Acting Chief Director of the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture on 2nd April, 2020 and was confirmed on 10th March, 2021, position he currently holds. He is married with children.

Dr. Jacob Gbati

Dr. Jacob Gbati is the President and Founder of Global Cargo and Commodities Limited. He has worked as business consultant in various local private companies before forming what has become Global Cargo & Commodities Limited. Doctorate Degree in Business Administration in Shipping / Logistics from Commonwealth University Belize.  B.A. Hon. Political Science & Philosophy – University of Ghana.

He has to his credit certificates and a Post Graduate diploma, which was awarded by the different institutions. They include post Graduate Diploma in shipping, Certificate in Maritime Administration, and certificate in customs Procedures, among others. Dr. Jacob Gbati has remained true to his vision that Global Cargo & Commodities Limited should be devoted to the business of cutting – edge services to clients. He was born on the 21st September, 1960, married, with children. His international landscape is acknowledged and respected by all.

Mr. Samuel Seth Passah

Mr. Samuel Seth Passah holds a Master’s Degree in Urban Management and Development from the Institute for Housing and Urban Development Studies (IHS), Erasmus University, Rotterdam, and The Netherlands.

Since 2017, he has been working at the Ministry of Regional Reorganization and Development (MoRRD) as the Head, PPBMED.

From 2011 to 2017, he worked at the Policy, Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation Directorate (PPBMED) of the MLGRD, Accra. As a Principal Development Planning Officer. As a Planner, he was deeply involved in policy formulation (Local Economic Development Policy and its accompanying Operational Manual – 2013 to 2019), strategic planning, budgeting, monitoring and evaluation of all development interventions under the aegis of the Ministry. He also facilitated the design of Ghana Urban Mobility and Accessibility Project (GUMAP) and the signing of the Agreement by the Government of Ghana and Swiss Government (SECO).

Mr. Passah worked in the Atiwa District Assembly, Kwabeng as a Development Planner and Volta Regional Coordinating Council (VRCC), Ho where he served at the Regional Planning Coordinating Unit (RPCU), a technical wing of the VRCC as a Development Planner for a period of seven years (2005 to 2011).

Mr. Mohammed Abdul-Karim

Mr. Mohammed Abdul-Karim

Mohammed Abdul-Karim is the Director of Finance and Administration representing the Ministry of Land and Natural Resources. He is a Civil Servant with over twenty-three (23) years’ experience in Policy Planning, Budgeting and Public Administration. He was the Head of Budget at the Ministry of Works and Housing from 2008 to 2015. Mohammed Abdul-Karim was deeply involved in Policy Formulation and Monitoring of Development Projects of the Ministry.

He is an expert in Public Administration and Public Sector Management and has been in charge of the Finance and Administration of the Office of the Head of Civil Service (OHCS), Department of Urban Roads (DUR) and Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources (MLNR). He also has a passion for Human Resource Development.

He has served as a member of a number of Boards and Committees. He was appointed as a member of the Ministerial Advisory Board of the Ministry of Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs between 2017-2020. As the Director of Finance and Administration he was also coopted as a member of the Ministerial Advisory Board of the Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources (MLNR) from 2016-2021 

Mohammed Abdul-Karim hold a master’s degree in public Sector Management from GIMPA. He is married and blessed with three children.

Mad. Eva Esselba Mends

Mad. Eva Esselba Mends

Ms. Eva Esselba Mends is an alumnus of University of Ghana, Legon, where she studied Political Science with Economics. She has an Executive Masters in Public Administration from GIMPA and has undertaken numerous courses over the years including at Harvard and Duke Universities.

She is a PFM expert and has extensive experience in Economic and Public Policy Formulation and Analysis, Budget Management, Aid Management, Fiscal Decentralization and Social Protection.

She joined the Ministry of Finance, Ghana, as a National Service Person in 1991 and in the past 30 years has risen through the ranks from Assistant Economic Officer to Chief Economic Officer. Positions she has held include, Head of The Americas Desk in 1998, Head of Budget Development in 2006 and Group Head of Public Financial Management (PFM) reforms in 2013.

As Head of Budget Development, she facilitated the establishment of the Fiscal Decentralization and Budget Reforms Unit of the Ministry. She led the implementation of major reforms that include gender responsive budgeting, Programme Based Budgeting and lately the development of the new Public Financial Management Act.

She served as the first female Director of Budget from May, 2017 to January, 2019 and is currently the Coordinating Director (Technical) for the Ministry of Finance. She is also the Program’s Coordinator for GhanaCares.

Mad. Cecilia Sheitu Nyadia

Mad. Cecilia Sheitu Nyadia, Born on 26th April 1971. Attended st Francis of Assisi Girl’s secondary school from 1984 to 1989. Also attended Tamale secondary school for A’level in 1989 to 1990. Pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in philosophy and study of religions at the University of Ghana Legon from 1992 to 1996. Undertook a Master of Arts degree in Public Administration at GIMPA 2016. Presently the director of Human Resource Management of the Ministry of Environment, Science, Technology and Innovation. Accra. She is married with two children.

Mad. Comfort Yamoah

Comfort Yamoah, a product of Yaa Asantewaa Secondary School in Kumasi, began her working life with State Insurance Corporation and later with the Social Security and National Insurance Trust as a clerk. She later proceeded to the Banking College for training. She worked with National Savings and Credit Bank for a number of years where she gained experience and honed her entrepreneurial skills enough to start her own business.

Comfort founded Afripoks Limited, trading in various goods and services and later expanding her business suite to imports which grew rapidly. She also ventured into construction where she has performed creditably, successfully completing construction projects including schools, roads and renovations in various parts in Ghana.

A relentless pursuit for quality output, diligent performance and empathic but tough management of staff have been her strong attributes that have paid off in her being responsible for raisingsome successful business people who were once her employees. Comfort, a staunch Christian, has been of immense help to the needy as she gives back to society especially in Kumasi.

Comfort was married and had three children with the late Hon. Charles Omar Nyanor who was a Minister in Ex-President Kufuor’s government.

Lady Dentaa Amoateng MBE is the President of the Grow, Unite, Build, Africa (GUBA) Enterprise. GUBA Enterprise is the Diaspora Network Manager par excellence and continues to grow into an impactful social venture network.
She is a visionary, humanitarian and leader. As a dedicated mother of four, she spends her time between the UK and Ghana, effecting change within the community. The GUBA Awards has been recognised as a community building organisation with substantial influence. Her work to improve UK-African relations earned her an MBE in Her Majesty the Queen Elizabeth II’s 2016 Birthday Honours. As the President of the GUBA Enterprise, her work
consistently connects and mobilises the African Diaspora.

Lily Fati Soale is a specialist in Urban Governance with over 19 years’ experience in Local Governance and Public Administration.

She has expertise in Human Resource Management, having worked as Director in charge of Human Resources and Development in the Ministry of Local Government, Decentralisation and Rural Development for over 4 years.

She is also an expert in citizen engagement and community mobilization. In 2019, she was appointed as a member of the Expert Advisory Council on Citizen Engagement by the World Bank Group to provide guidance and expertise to advance the implementation of the Strategic Framework on Citizen Engagement and other issues critical to mainstreaming citizen engagement in the World Bank Group operations for improved results.

Lily has a passion for child protection and women empowerment issues and has gained recognition by the Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection for her efforts in that regard.

She holds a Masters’ degree in Urban Management and Development from the Institute of Housing and Urban Development Studies (IHS), Erasmus University, Rotterdam, The Netherlands. She is married and has three children.
