GTA To Organise 50th Anniversary Industry Fun Games

The Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA) as part of the 50th Anniversary celebrations, will be organizing industry fun games which will be held on Saturday, 19th August, 2023 at the Ridge Church School, Astro turf near George Padmore Library.

The Anniversary celebration is under the theme “Sustainable and Inclusive Tourism Development 50 years and Beyond”. All agencies under the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture and the private sector operators will be participating in the fun games. They are Ghana Tourism Development Company, Ghana Museum and Monument Board, Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park, W.E.B. Du Bois Memorial Centre, National Theatre of Ghana, Creative Arts Agency, Folklore Board, Bureau Of Ghana Languages, National Commission on Culture (NCC), Hotel, Catering and Hospitality Training Institute, National Film Authority, Pan African Writers Association of Ghana, Ghana Tourism Federation, Tour Operators Union of Ghana, Car Rentals Association of Ghana, Ghana Hotels Association, Ghana Progressive Hotels Association, Tour Guides Association of Ghana, Tourism Society of Ghana among others.

There will be competitive games namely; soccer, table tennis, tug of war, lime and spoon, sack race, scrabble and 50-meter dash race.

The noncompetitive games include ludu, playing cards, bottle flip, eating competition, ampe, musical chairs, oware, draft, playing cards and jenga.

 Kickoff will be initiated by the Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture, Hon. Dr. Mohammed Ibrahim Awal.

The Industry fun games is being organized by the Ghana Tourism Authority, under the auspices of the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture, in collaboration with the Ghana Tourism Federation, Ghana Football Association , Cocoa Processing Company and  Keystone Medical Services .

The  game is designed to foster a stronger sense of partnership, collaboration and healthy rivalry among sister agencies and private sector operators.
