Accra, Ghana – In a heartwarming evening filled with recognition and celebration, the Ghana Tourism Authority hosted its annual Staff Awards and Retirees Recognition Dinner, honoring the outstanding contributions of its dedicated team members and bidding a fond farewell to retirees who have left an indelible mark on the organization.
Held at the forecourt of our Head Office at Ridge, the event brought together staff, retirees, and guests for a night of gratitude, memories, and celebration. The evening kicked off with a warm welcome from Mr. Akwasi Agyeman, the Chief Executive Officer, who highlighted the organization’s continued growth and success, attributing much of it to the hard work, passion, and commitment of the employees.
“The heart of our organization lies in the exceptional people who drive it forward every day,” said Mr. Akwasi Agyeman. “Tonight, we honor not just the achievements of our outstanding staff but also the incredible legacy of those retiring, whose dedication and leadership have shaped us into the thriving organization we are today.”
Throughout the evening, staff members from our various departments and regions were recognized for their extraordinary contributions in various categories, including leadership, innovation, teamwork, and long service. The awards ceremony was a highlight of the event, with each honoree receiving heartfelt applause and recognition for their efforts.
The dinner also served as a special occasion to celebrate retirees who have devoted many years to the organization. With heartfelt speeches, personal tributes, and a standing ovation, the retirees were celebrated for their unwavering dedication and the profound impact they had during their careers.
The occasion was graced by the Deputy Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture (MOTAC), Hon. Mark Okraku Mantey, the Chief Director of the Ministry, Mr. Patrick Ankobea, the Board Chairman of the Authority, Hon. Seth Adjei Baah, members of the Board and guests from our sister Agencies. The Deputy Minister and the Board Chairman shared fond memories and their experiences from working with the CEO, Mr. Akwasi Agyeman and the Authority as a whole.
