Regional Tourism Awards
Prior to the national event, the **Regional Tourism Awards** were held in September 2024 to acknowledge top performers at the regional level. The National Tourism Awards will serve as the grand finale, celebrating the achievements of local tourism stakeholders and highlighting the unique contributions made across all regions of Ghana.
Objectives of the 2024 National Tourism Awards
1. Celebrate and recognize outstanding contributions to the tourism industry.
2. Promote the continued recovery and growth of Ghana’s tourism sector.
3. Foster stronger relationships between the Ghana Tourism Authority and stakeholders.
4. Highlight innovation as a driving force for tourism development.

The Jury
A distinguished six-member national jury, comprised of seasoned professionals from hospitality, tourism, and media, will oversee the selection of award winners. The jury members include:
- Mr. Kwabena Agyakum – Executive Secretary, Chartered Institute of Marketing, Ghana (CIMG)
- Dr. Joseph Mensah Ansah – Chairperson, Association of Hospitality and Tourism Schools in Africa
- Mr. Alex Boakye – Former Director of Quality Assurance, GTA
- Mr. Charles Obeng, Director of Quality Assurance, GTA
- Mr. George Quaye, Media Personality
- Mr. Passah, Board Member, GTA
Award Selection Process
Regional Level:
Facilities and enterprises are shortlisted based on inspections carried out by the Ghana Tourism Authority’s regional offices. A regional jury selects winners based on service quality and overall performance.
National Level:
Winners from the regional awards are further assessed by a national jury to determine the top three nominees in each category. From this pool, the national winners will be selected and awarded during the ceremony.
