AKWAABA CEREMONY FOR PANAFEST/EMANCIPATION AT ELMINA ON THURSDAY 24TH JULY 2025

The Akwaaba Ceremony for Panafest/Emancipation was a resounding success, thanks to the warmth and hospitality of Edina Omanhene, Nana Kojo Kondua IV. From the moment we arrived, we were treated to a spectacular display of Ghanaian culture and tradition.

The ceremony itself was a masterclass in elegance and poise, with the Omanhene and his elders performing traditional rites with precision and grace. The traditional music and dance performances were equally impressive, showcasing the rich cultural heritage of the Edina people.

What struck most, however, was the Omanhene’s heartfelt welcome and his emphasis on the importance of remembering our ancestors and honoring our shared heritage. His words resonated deeply, and a sense of pride and connection to African roots was felt.

The ceremony was also notable for its seamless organization and attention to detail. Every aspect, from the traditional attire to the local cuisine, was carefully thought out to create an immersive and unforgettable experience.
